If you are vacationing at About Time, I congratulate you on your good choice, and good fortune. The charm of a private mountain cabin requires mountain roads. Please print these explicit instructions to ensure that you will find your way quickly and easily.
From stop light #3 (Wears Valley Road), go west. Almost immediately, look on the right side of the street for an office with a neon "CABINS" sign just past the intersection. This is the Secret Hideaways office. Check in here for your keys and directions.
Upon exiting the check in, go about three miles west until you see a turning circle on your right. This is your landmark for Walden Creek Rd. The traffic light is Walden Creek Road. Make a right turn. About 2 miles ahead, look for a green sign on the left side of the road saying "Shagbark". Make a left, and proceed to the Guard House for Shagbark.
At the Guard house, the road is called North Clearfork Road. Go 1.2 miles.
The road forks, with the left fork going toward the club house. The right fork continues up the hill. This is "Hatcher Top Road"
Go 0.2 miles on Hatcher Top. You will see the road divides right and left. The left is Black Walnut. The right is the continuation of Hatcher Top. It is a pretty sharp right. Go 0.2 miles up the hill.
There is now a hairpin left turn onto Overholt Trail. Go 0.4 miles on Overholt. It is paved, but a little bumpy. At 0.4 miles, go slowly because Overholt bears right, but just over the rise look for a sign with a reflector on a tree that says "Pinecrest Lane" It veers to the left and down a hill.
Overholt Trail veers up the hill, to the right. Go about 0.3 miles up the hill, looking for a paved driveway on right. "About Time" is a cabin that is easily recognized by its blue metal roof. The driveway loops up the hill, where there is ample parking and room to turn around. You have arrived at About Time.
